Diary about Halong bay - Halong bay cruise

A trip through Halong Bay deserves a stay of at least 3 days. There are many things to see and do. We have to see sunrise and sunset,  you have to swim in the beaches, visit karst formations inside, sleeping in a bungalow, surf, sing karaoke , feel the wind ...

Sunset at Halong Bay
If you only have one day to explore the bay at sunset visiting recommend since day attractions are diluted with sunlight. But I insist that it is one of the most stunning scenery and attractive not only in Vietnam but in the world and we should book us at least 3 days to navigate it. Furthermore, it should be noted that Halong is more than 2 hours by car or bus from Hanoi.

Boat in Halong Bay, a tour is the best way to travel around the Bay. You can book any city in Vietnam, from Hanoi, the closest to Saigon, the furthest from the Gulf of Tonkin. Hue, for example, is a good place to book, is a very touristy town and the agencies abound.

Cruising Halong Bay, Halong Bay boat can cost from $ 10 per person to $ 1.400. Obviously the $ 10 a day is pretty unwise, while the 1400 is amazing for a boat trip in luxury that few can afford. Typically between 100 and spent $ 150. Specifically we did one for $ 98 and lasted three days and two nights. Yes, we must be very clear that what you pay is what you get. It is a maxim in Vietnam can be applied to almost anything. The trip takes all inclusive except drinks.

Halong boats that normally have 8 double cabins, and in some cases triple. You have to be picky when it comes to hiring the tour and ask for a new boat ride. The cabins are nice, clean, air conditioned and comfortable, and the food is pretty good and varied.

First to visit Sung Sot Cave( Surprise Cave). It is the most popular, karst caves in the Halong Bay. After the visit to the cave is one of the most fun parts, kayaking. For half an hour you can enjoy sailing boat riding a pleasant experience if you do not take it to heart, because if you're not used to doing a lot of sports you can do away with some sore arms.

Sunset at Halong Bay, the one of the most beautiful moments is seeing evening on the boat.

At dawn the next morning leaves us speechless. In summer you have to get up before 5 am, but really worth, begins a new day in Halong Bay and much to tell.

Halong Bay of Dreams

History tells us what happened, that is reality. We can decorate, what in our culture fantasizing relive the moment, or what is the same thing we dream.

Well, this in Halong Bay in Vietnam reached its peak. Not because it is a unique place in their recent or ancient history without because its calm waters and karst whole leads to let your imagination beyond the usual. Halong Bay smells like fire, salt and wind, to our resplendent shown look like a bride, timid as a rookie and warm as a caress, and its music sounds like a litany.

For many, many years, so many that even the older Vietnamese remember when it happened, a dragon and all his family called Jade Emperor. At that time the Chinese invaded remote lands and often Vietnamese incursions across the East Sea in that territory were constant.

Being the natural entrance route from China to Vietnam, the Emperor summoned all his authority to convince the Dragons to defend the Vietnamese territory. One night, when some sampans were already near Halong, 20 great snake like animals and winged feet, broke the cloudy sky spitting fire from their mouth.

The Chinese vessels, in close proximity to water, repelled the attacks of dragons to great effect. It was then, when the dragons began to spit at the mouth jewelry. One by one they were sinking sampans as a nutshell at the onslaught of a hammer. The remains of the battle can still be seen in the form of wonderful islands and karst cliffs.

The dragon and her litter, defeated the enemy, fell exhausted into the sea to lie in peace. By collapsing tail waved with the land and forming new valleys and crevices that quickly, were flooded by the sea.

Dragons still rest on the bottom.
